LSLogo was created in May 2007 by Bradford Russell (SL). The idea came about following a discussion during the Life 2.0 conference; Phillip Linden announced during one of the presentations that a SL “family grid” was in the works; this would allow adults to interact with minors in a safe, controlled environment. The parents in the audience, myself included, believe that this is a great idea!
The Logo programming language came up during our discussion, and Brad jumped on it… within a day, he had a single-script prototype working, and within the week, he had a fully functional, modular implementation in LSL.
Teiwaz Laval implemented a HUD for the turtle interface; I haven’t had time to try it yet...
Bradford created an LSLogo group in SL; several meetings have been held so far.
